Lovely vintage cylindrical wooden biscuit barrel with metallic lid was used to store biscuits in UK. The wood on these barrels has a smooth finish and some has fancy chrome plate designs on them. The barrel features a swing handle and a metal collar- these are either gold or silver as you can see in the pictures.
As its an antique item, it shows signs of ageing but overall is in a very good vintage condition. There may be a few scruffs to the exterior and shows some patina, which only adds to its beauty. It oozes authentic Victorian vibe which makes this item stand out.
You can use this as a decor item or use it to store cookies or ice cubes.
