These Butcher Blocks are made out of 49 individual pieces of wood that have been put together vertically to create one solid piece of "butcher block". The wood is a heavy hardwood and each butcher block weighs over 300 lbs each. The solid wood "block" is encased in a metal frame that is bolted in each corner to keep this piece intact. This block is set upon a 4 legged support stand.
The grain in the wood is extraordinary and will definitely add a unique design element to your space however you use it. The size of this piece makes it very versatile and you can add it to any corner in your kitchen, office, or patio. Buy both and use them as end tables for your living room.
